I started reading Emily Giffin books apparently in the wrong order, I started with 'Love the One You're With' then 'Heart of the Matter', and then when I found out that 'Something Borrowed' was becoming a movie I learned that there was kind of an order to her books.
Just finished, 'Something Borrowed'
I absolutely LOVED the book and it was hard to put down. In the beginning of the book, all I could see was myself as Rachel and my cousin was Darcy. Although I love my cousin to pieces, I couldn't help but think that our relationship was too similar to Rachel and Darcy's. As I kept on reading the book, I was beginning to despise Darcy, and I decided that my relationship with my cousin isn't as bad as their friendship, but there was still similarities.
I really enjoy the way Emily Giffin writes, she makes it easy for the reader to emotionally connect with the main character, in this case, Rachel. Although in this book the main character is 'in the wrong', you can't help but feel for her. I thought to myself, if I was in her position, I would likely do what she was doing, so does that make me a bad person??
'Something Borrowed', highly recommended. A good summer read!
So now that I am done with this book, it is on to her next one, 'Something Blue'. I was really excited to read it. Then I read the back of the book, and it's ALL about Darcy, not so excited! Since I know the way Emily Giffin writes, I am thinking that by the end of the book, I might end up really liking Darcy as well. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Why I am creating this blog..
As a part of my technology goals for a reading course I am taking this summer, I decided to create a blog. I have pondered over the past couple of weeks about what I should blog about, and last night it came to me. Since this is for a reading course, I'm a reading minor and I LOVE to read, what else would I blog about BESIDES reading? So it's said and done. I will blog about books I am currently reading, give you my take on the book, relate my life to the book (because I ALWAYS do that) and let you know if I would recommend it. During this summer I am hoping to get a lot of reading done, so hopefully my blog will be plentiful, but as the school year approaches, I might have to blog about textbooks.......
We'll see how many bloggers stick with me then.
Hope you enjoy!
And please! If you have any suggestions on reading material, I am ALWAYS interested!
